Eligibility Criteria
Pre-Matric Scholarship (Class 9th and 10th):
The total annual family income should not be more than Rs. 2,50,000 for both Scheduled Castes and General Category students.
Post-Matric Scholarship:
For Scheduled Castes students: The total annual family income should not be more than Rs. 2,50,000.
For General Category students: The total annual family income should not be more than Rs. 2,00,000.
Application Process
- Registration: Visit the official scholarship portal: scholarship.up.gov.in. Click on the "Student" section and select "New Registration" for the relevant scholarship category (Pre-Matric or Post-Matric). Fill in the required details to create a registration ID.
- Login: Use the registration ID and password to log in to the portal.
- Fill Application Form: Complete the application form with personal, academic, and bank details. Upload required documents.
- Submit Application: Review the filled application form and submit it online.
- Print Application Form: Take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.
Verification and Disbursement Process
- Institute Verification: The application and documents are sent to the educational institution for verification. The institute checks the details and forwards the application to the District Scholarship Committee.
- District Level Scrutiny: The District Scholarship Committee reviews the verified applications. Approved applications are sent for fund allocation.
- Fund Transfer: The scholarship amount is directly transferred to the students' bank accounts through PFMS.
