Eligibility Criteria:
- The bride and groom must be residents of Uttar Pradesh.
- The bride must be at least 18 years old, and the groom must be at least 21 years old.
- The family should be living below the poverty line.
Application Process:
- Obtain the application form from local government offices or download it from the official website.
- Submit the completed form along with required documents to the local authority or through the online portal.
- Required documents include:
- Proof of residence
- Proof of age (birth certificate, school certificate)
- Income certificate
- BPL card or other proof of economic status
- Aadhar card
Implementation:
- The scheme is implemented by local authorities such as the District Social Welfare Officer or the respective Municipal Corporation.
- Mass marriage events are organized where eligible couples are married collectively.
